Hacher the spice paste ingredients and then blend it in a food processor until fine.

Chauffer the oil in a stew pot, Ajouter the spice paste, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and cardamom and Remuer-Frire until aromatic

Ajouter the Bœuf and the pounded lemongrass and Remuer for 1 minute

Ajouter the coconut Lait, tamarind juice, water, and Mijoter on medium Chauffer, stirring frequently until the meat is almost cooked

Ajouter the kaffir Citron vert leaves, kerisik (toasted coconut), Sucre or palm Sucre, stirring to blend well with the meat.

Lower the Chauffer to low, Couvrir the lid, and Mijoter for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is really tender and the gravy has dried up

Servir immediately with steamed Riz and save some for overnight.
