Place a large saucepan over medium Chauffer and Ajouter oil

When hot, Ajouter chopped vegetables and sauté until softened, 5 to 10 minutes.

Ajouter 6 Tasses water, Lentilles, Thym, bay leaves and Sel

Bring to a Bouillir, then reduce to a fast Mijoter.

Mijoter Lentilles until they are tender and have absorbed most of the water, 20 to 25 minutes

If necessary, Égoutter any excess water after Lentilles have cooked

Servir immediately, or allow them to cool and reheat later.

For a fuller taste, use some Poulet stock and reduce the water by the same amount.
